Relief and support processions: We responded to the call of more than 2,500 families from the Yazidi community in the Sinjar district.

The Relief and Support Division of the al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine announced that it had responded to the call of the Yazidi community with a campaign of aid and services in Sinjar district, in addition to the villages of Bashiqa and Bahzani in Nineveh Governorate.

Most of the Division's units and processions participated in this campaign, and it included more than 2,500 families.

The head of the division, Mr Qasim Al-Maamouri, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The flame of the social solidarity fatwa launched by the Supreme Religious Authority is still burning, and the processions of our division are still continuing their humanitarian campaign in support of the poor, oppressed and affected families due to these circumstances. In response to the call of our brothers in this country of the Yazidi community, a support campaign was organized in cooperation with the Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Squad, which included more than a hundred vehicles loaded with food and household needs, in addition to other aid distributed to those families according to previously prepared lists, in a way that contributes to reducing Of their suffering."

He added: "The campaign also included sterilization work for these areas, to contribute to limiting the spread of the Corona epidemic by using effective materials and modern equipment, and a team of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) fighting squad undertook these actions."

In turn, the head of the Yazidi Social Council, Omar Elias Ali, praised this initiative, which is part of a series of initiatives that preceded it, and said that it “confirms that there are those who care about us after we have lost hope, as a result of the crimes committed against us by the terrorist gangs of ISIL, but the fatwa of the defense saved what was left of the people of this community. And after they returned to their cities, the Al-Abbas Fighting Squad began to visit their areas and provide logistical and moral support, and urges those who remained to return to their homes. And after the Corona pandemic, we notice another honorable position of the Al-Abbas Fighting Squad / 26th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces and the logistic support processions, by providing us with food and in-kind materials, in addition to the sterilization program for the area. So in the name of the people of the Yazidi community, we extend our thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of this campaign. "
