Logistical support processions organize their first annual festival.

The logistical support processions within the Diyala Governorate unit of the Relief and Support Division at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organized its first annual festival under the slogan: (The Hussayni processions are a renewed giving), in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Mr Maytham al-Zaidi, representatives of the processions, religious, community and tribal figures, and heads of units in a number of governorates.

The festival, which was hosted by the host of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in the Diyala province, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah as a tribute to the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. Then Mr. Maytham al-Zaydi presented his word in which he praised the efforts harnessed by these processions including the Diyala processions, whether through the support of the security forces and the popular mobilization, or through their humanitarian campaigns to support the poor and needy families, urging them to continue their march and their giving.

After that, a quick review of the services provided by the unit and its processions in the governorate, was presented.

At the end of the festival, the representatives of the processions were honored by offering them blessing gifts from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in appreciation of their efforts.
