Distributing food aid to a number of poor neighborhoods in the holy city of Karbala.

The Guidance and Support Committee of the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has begun organizing a campaign to distribute flour to a number of families living in the poor neighborhoods in the Karbala governorate, as part of the solidarity campaign launched by the Holy Shrine in compliance with the directives and guidelines of the Supreme Religious Authority.
The division's official, Sheikh Haider Al-'Aredhi, stated: “This is one of the campaigns launched since the launch of the social solidarity fatwa of the Supreme Religious Authority to support the poor and affected families, due to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, in order to contribute to alleviating some of the burden of some poor and needy families in the governorate."
Al-'Aredhi affirmed: “Such humanitarian initiatives, whether from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine or elsewhere is distributed to contribute to reducing economic crises that these families are going through. "
It is noteworthy that the Religious Affairs Department, within its available capabilities, started from the first days of the imposed curfews and the spread of the Corona pandemic, visiting and supporting a number of families in the neighborhoods of Karbala and its suburbs. And after the issuance of directives and recommendations by the supreme religious authority, to highlight the necessity to support the poor and affected families, the momentum of these campaigns increased with a wider scope.
