The Department of Hussayni rituals, processions, and organizations started the broadest organizational work since its foundation.

The Department of Rituals, Processions and Hussayni Institutions in Iraq and the Islamic World of the Holy Shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) has begun organizing work for all processions, representations and units affiliated with it in the Iraqi governorates, which is the largest organization work since the establishment of the department, in order to contribute to the work development of these processions and the advancement of the organization and coordination, in a way that facilitate the procedures during the revival of the condolence seasons and Hussayni service, whether in the Karbala Governorate or the rest of the provinces.

The head of the department, Haj Riad Ni'mah Al-Salman, spoke to the al-Kafeel Network, saying: “After we had an extensive meeting with the owners of the processions and officials of units and representations in the governorates, which resulted in the development of a roadmap to organize and coordinate work in an optimal manner, and in implementation of the recommendations that we made, the department's cadres started the first step of this work, which included issuing new identity cards that differed from the previous ones, with a comprehensive update of all service and funeral processions registered with us within the department's database.

He added: "A timetable for this work has been prepared according to each governorate, whereby the department's representatives in the provinces are reviewed by the owners of the processions after bringing the fundamentalist documents, and then they are entered into the database set for them, and the first of these governorates was Baghdad and the rest of the provinces will follow".

Al-Salman stressed: “The new identity card cannot be forged, because it has many features. It is provided with barcodes and special numbers. The identity of the owner of the identity card, whether the sponsor of the procession or his assistant, in addition to the representative and unit official, is mentioned in it, and it will be in effect for a period of five years. And upon the completion of these works, the relevant authorities will be contacted to officially adopting these new card and nullify the old ones that were renewed every year."

It is noteworthy that the ritual department is the only official body responsible for organizing and documenting the work of the Hussayni bodies and processions, by issuing identity cards and legal guarantees in cooperation with the security services, and that the civil society organizations that provide services to the Hussayni processions and bodies are only supportive organizations, and they are not legally responsible for organization and documentation.
