The Sayed servants conclude their mourning activities to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of their grandmother az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The Sayed servants of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded their mourning activities, which are related to the commemoration of the sad anniversary of the martyrdom of their grandmother Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), which lasted for three days. This is a mourning activity that they used to hold annually according to the different narrations.

The head of the Sayed servants' division, Sayed. Hashem al-Shami, explained to the Al-Kafeel network, saying: “Our mourning event for the commemoration of this sad anniversary is part of the program prepared by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the commemoration of this occasion, which included many activities, the most important of which are:

First: Establishing a mourning council in the courtyard of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for a period of three days, but the attendance in the council was restricted to a number of visitors as well as the Sayed servants, in order to limit the spread of the Corona pandemic. This council started by reciting verses from the Holy Shrine by Sayed Ali Amin Mamitha, and then giving a religious lecture by His Eminence Sheikh Ali Mohan from the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, about the hadith of the Noble Messenger (may God’s prayers be upon him and his family) about his daughter az-Zahra (peace be upon her): (Fatima is part of me, her pleasure and anger is God's pleasure and anger). The preacher discussed matters that are based on Qur’anic verses and prophetic hadiths as well as narrations of other imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), indicating that Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) is a mirror of God’s satisfaction and anger, and this position reveals her infallibility. Explaining also that if we contemplate this hadith, we will find that the Noble Prophet linked between the satisfaction of Zahra and the satisfaction of God, so that it becomes clear to us that Zahra (peace be upon her) is an existence that human understanding cannot reach.

Second: The establishment of a procession to offer tea to the visitors to the sanctuary of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both). This is also an annual activity of the Sayed servants, which, despite its simplicity, is witnessing a great turnout.

Al-Shami concluded: “The Sayed servants also had a continuous presence inside the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to contribute to the reception and organization of the processions and the visitors, in addition to their works that they are honored to perform on a daily basis.”
