Commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H)

The El-Abbas holy shrine has laid out a schedule for the activities of commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). It is a commemoration where people remember the murder committed against the Commander of the faithful Imam Ali (peace be upon him) when he first was hit with a poisoned sword on his head until he was martyred after two days.

People hit their chests expressing their sorrow at the tragedy of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), in addition to some religious lectures delivered about the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

It's been mentioned that the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy shrine holy shrines had been covered pieces of black cloth as a sign of mourning such martyrdom. Also, a mourning sermon would be held for three days in which the role of the Imam would be manifested, and the faithful would be incited to do what right and lawful.
