The Library of Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) qualifies the library of the College of Islamic Sciences at Karbala University.

The cadres of the women library of Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her), affiliated to the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p)holy shrine, have resumed their project entitled (Knowledge sharing), which aims to contribute to the establishment and rehabilitation of libraries in a number of governmental and private institutions, by improving the quality of information preservation and making it available to all, with the least effort in a timely and appropriate manner, under the slogan: (The Women's Library is a fundamental partner in achieving sustainable development with its cultural dimensions).

The project, which was forcibly halted as a result of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, was launched in the library of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala. Mrs. Azhar Abdul-Jabbar, head of the loan unit in the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) women’s library, who is responsible for this project, explained to the al-Kafeel Network, saying: “The rehabilitation of this library included organizing and arranging more than (9000) cultural and religious books in the library of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, where we started these works before the spread of the Corona pandemic, but work stopped due to the precautionary measures imposed by the Crisis Cell to prevent the spread of the pandemic. And with the gradual return of life we ​​resumed these works with the participation of a specialized team from the library."

In turn, Mrs. Haifa Musa, Director of the Library of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, praised the professionalism of the Women's Library team and the scientific accuracy and diligence that distinguished it in the process of indexing and organizing the books in the library, hoping in the coming days that the library would be provided with an electronic program similar to the one used in a library Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her).
