The al-Abba’s (p) holy shrine constructs a new desalination plant in the holy city of Karbala.

The engineering cadres working in the Water Division of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have completed the construction of a water desalination plant in the Muallimin neighborhood, to serve the neighborhood's residents and to provide drinking water to Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) commercial middle school in the same area.

Regarding this station, the head of the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dia Majeed Al-Sa'egh, said: “The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was keen to adopt service projects, by establishing a series of projects, including the water desalination plant in the Muallimin neighborhood, to serve the people of the region and also to provide drinking water to the Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) commercial middle school in Karbala, which was the site on which this station was erected. ”

Noting that:“ The station is one of the many stations that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provided to different regions in Karbala and the provinces. ”

He added, "The latest technologies and devices used in the construction of such projects were adopted in this station in order to provide healthy water for students and teaching staff in the middle school. These works are part of the Holy Shrine plan to support the educational institution with various projects and works."

For his part, the official of the Water Station Division, Eng. Bassam Al-Hashimi, said: “The cadres of the Implementation and Development Unit of the Water Division in the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have implemented a water desalination plant (RO) with a capacity of (1000 liters / hour) to serve the residents of the Al-Muallimin neighborhood and its neighboring neighborhoods in general, and students of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) commercial middle school in particular."

He added: "The plant was executed with high quality from parts of international origin, as the pumps are of Italian origin, the osmotic filters are American, and the pipelines (ppr) extensions are of German origin, with iron bases manufactured in the workshop of the water division, with the addition of the sterilization system for the produced water to ensure the laboratory safety of the water. "

Al-Hashemi added, "After completing the installation and operation of the station, water samples were taken and examined physically, chemically and bacterially in the water laboratory of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, to match them with Iraqi and international specifications for drinking water."

In turn, the director of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) commercial middle school; Mr. Nasser Al-Tamimi, expressed his thanks to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the efforts made by it in setting up and operating the station, as the holy shrine always seeks to serve the people and citizens.
