A mourning event for women in the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to commemorate the death anniversary of his mother (may God’s peace be upon her).

On the thirteenth of Jumada II, the holy city of Karbala witnessed an atmosphere of sadness, and large crowds of lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) flocked to extend condolences to the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the death anniversary of his mother; Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her).

On this occasion, the Women Hussayni speech division in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, held a mourning event that included a mourning council and a theatrical performance that highlights parts of the life of Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her). The event was held in the presence of a number of visitors and a group of staffs of the Holy Shrine.

Mrs. Taghreed Al-Tamimi, Assistant Head of the Hussayni Speech Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine of the al-Kafeel network, said: “Our Division is used to hold mourning councils for all deaths of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). And for the fourth year in a row the Division holds its annual council in remembrance of the death of the venerable Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her). And this year, the commemoration was special with the addition of a theatrical performance consisting of (5) various scenes from the life of the venerable lady, her heroic stances and sacrifices. All that was presented was based on respected sources, and the performance was presented by (25) female students and the orators of the division. The theatrical performance had a clear impact on the audience. "

Al-Tamimi added: "A group of sisters from the women's centers and divisions of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated and attended this commemoration. It was evident that the attendees adhered to the recommendations of the supreme religious authority and the Ministry of Health, regarding precautionary measures to preserve the safety of the attendees."
