Al-Kafeel Specialized Hospital doctors successfully conducted a surgery to treat the imperforate anus of a ten-month-old baby.

A medical team at the Al-Kafeel Specialized Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced its success in treating a girl who is less than a year old, and who suffered from an imperforate anus.
A specialist in pediatric surgery at the hospital, Dr. Sarmad Al-Rubaie, said: “Our medical team succeeded in treating a 10-month-old girl, who suffers from the absence of an anus since her birth,” indicating that the operation was performed in one stage.
Al-Rubaie added: "The modernity of the technologies present in Al-Kafeel Hospital's operating theaters, with the presence of an experienced medical team and a distinguished anesthesia team, made us perform these operations continuously and with very high success rates."
