And this slaughterhouse is one of these projects. Our staffs began to rehabilitate this slaughterhouse that was established in the early eighties of the last century and stopped working after 2003, and it suffered from neglect and lack of interest and its production lines were disrupted and destroyed. Today, By the grace of God Almighty, it has been restored to work with a production capacity double what it was in the past, to support the national product and raising poultry inside the country, which will contribute to the activation of other circles such as employing the labor force and motivating poultry owners and the owners of fodder farms to double their production, all of which support local product. "

For his part, the managing director of Al-Liwa International Company, Engineer Adel Malik Al-Mi'mar, the company that undertook the rehabilitation and supervision of production, said: “Work on the project continued for nearly a year and a half, and included the procedure for rehabilitating production lines of the slaughterhouse, re-developing and modernizing them using the latest environmentally friendly methods and technologies, as well as construction of integrated infrastructure for the slaughterhouse, such as water purification and storage stations, electricity and sewage systems, camera, alarm, fire and other systems, all of which contributed to making this slaughterhouse qualified to work with modern and advanced production lines compatible with its current production capacity of (5000). Hen per hour. "

As for the method of slaughtering, Sheikh Salah al-Khafaji, head of the religious affairs department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, confirmed: “The slaughter is carried out in accordance with Islamic law and under the supervision of the staff of the al-Kafeel Islamic sponsor center of our department, which has more than ten years of experience in this field, as we have a specialized and expert cadre in this field."

It is noteworthy that the Noor Al-Kafeel Company, affiliated to the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, has signed a contract with the Karbala Company for the preparation of meat and poultry, in order to rehabilitate and operate the Karbala slaughterhouse located on the (Karbala - Babylon) road; Al-Ibrahimiyyah area, for the production and processing of poultry meat. This step came in order to advance the economic sector in the country and to supply the Iraqi market with poultry meat.
