Completion of all preparations for the launch of the seventh edition of the annual Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) cultural conference.

The Preparatory Committee for the annual Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) cultural conference announced the end of all technical and logistical preparations for the launch of its seventh edition, which will be held under the slogan: (Imam al-Baqer, peace be upon him, the pure speech and the victorious truth) on the first of Rajab 1442 AH, corresponding to (February 14, 2021).

The member of the festival's preparatory committee, Sayed. Aqeel Abdul-Hussein Al-Yasiri said: “We hope that this edition of the festival, will complement what preceded it, taking into consideration all preventive and precautionary measures." Adding: "The scientific committee of the conference has finished determining the accepted Hawza and academic research that will be presented in its research sessions according to the axes specified for it, through which we will shed light on the biography and approach of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him), to be in line with the conference’s mission and goals."

He added, "This year, the preparatory committee decided to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening of one of the important centers in the library and the manuscripts house of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which is the manuscript restoration center, by holding a miniature exhibition to show its accomplishments during a decade of work."

Al-Yasiri indicated: "The conference will be attended by some attendees in addition to the participants. It will also be broadcast by providing a direct frequency by the Al-Kafeel Center for Artistic Production of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine Media Department, so it can be possible to follow it for whoever cannot attend it."

Regarding the conference’s program, he explained: “The opening will take place at exactly nine thirty in the morning on Sunday, and will include a speech by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, a speech to the conference’s guests and a poem about Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him), followed by the research session. The conclusion will be by a speech of the preparatory committee to show its recommendations as well as distributing certificates of appreciation."

It is noteworthy that the conference is held in celebration and remembrance of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him), and in a way that contributes to preserving the cultural heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as it is full of noble human values ​​that humanity always needs.
