Al-Kafeel Hospital doctors successfully perform lower jaw bone implantation and stabilize a fractured upper jaw.

A medical team at the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that it had successfully implanted a bone in the lower jaw of a patient in his forties, suffering from jaw bone loss as a result of a gunshot wound.
A specialist in facial and maxillofacial surgery at the hospital, Dr. Muammar Al-A'raji, said: "Our medical team has succeeded in implanting a bone for the lower jaw, with fixing a fracture in the upper jaw and repairing multiple wounds in the tongue of a patient in his forties."
Dr. Al-A'raji explained: “A bullet that hit the patient was reason of his fractures,” noting that: “The operation was performed using modern techniques provided by Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital, and that the patient recovered after the surgery.”
