An expanded cleaning campaign is taking place in the square between the Two Holy Shrines.

The Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized a wide cleaning campaign that included the square between the two shrines and its covered sections and the streets leading and adjacent to it, following the completion of the Ziyarat of the mid Sha`ban.
The head of the aforementioned department, Sayed. Nafe' Al-Mousawi, explained to the Al-Kafeel Network, saying: “The cadres of our department make exceptional efforts in every Ziyarat season to serve the visitors, to contribute to creating an atmosphere that helps them performing the Ziyarat rituals with ease, despite the exceptional circumstance that accompanied them as a result of the Corona epidemic and its repercussions. Among the works that we conducted are cleaning work during and after the Ziyarat, as well as sterilization and disinfection work that covered most of the square's joints.
He added: "All the staff of the department participated in these works using the department's machines and vehicles, as the work was completed in the aforementioned areas as quickly as possible, and all the waste was removed from the streets surrounding the square between the Two Holy Shrines, all the way to the entrances to the Old City, followed then by washing works. ".
