Finishing the floor cladding of the Imam Al-Hassan Gate (peace be upon him).

The Department of Engineering Projects at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced the completion of the floor covering of the Imam al-Hassan Gate (peace be upon him) from the inside, with an area of 45 square meters.

The area accomplished is the area between the Holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to the entrance to the gate from the outside, which overlooks the square between the Two Holy Shrines, and the partial cladding between this floor and the area that will be covered with the streaky Kashi Karbalai (Izarah) has also been completed.

The head of the aforementioned department, Eng. Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh added in his statement to the al-Kafeel Network: “These works are part of the rehabilitation and development work for the gates of the Holy Shrine, with designs of urban harmony and an artistic format that aims to show them in a way that is consistent with their main entrances, in a way that contributes to the ease of movement and flow of visitors and processions. Special attention has been given to this gate as it is the second largest gate in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."

He explained: "The total area that was cladded was distributed into two paths, one with stairs and an inclined path with special measurements commensurate with the height of the floor of the courtyard and the gate. Noting that we have used natural marble in the work of cladding."

He concluded: “There are other works that are being carried out in parallel with these works that are nearing completion, such as reinforcing the walls with special materials to increase their strength and durability, and wiring all service systems (lighting - communications - cameras - audio), and also finishing the work of a metal frame for the two doors of the gate to serve as a base, to be covered with Kashi Karbalai.”
