The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities emphasized the importance of maintaining communication, cooperation and joint work between the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the Antiquities and Heritage Authority in particular, and the Ministry of Culture in general.
This came during the visit of the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Nawfal Abu Ragheef to the Pavilion of the Holy Shrine participating in the Arab Manuscript Day exhibition, which is being held by the Manuscripts House of the National Antiquities and Heritage Authority, under the slogan: (Heritage and Epidemics) at the hall of the Iraqi National Museum.
He added, "We are proud of this qualitative presence of the library and the manuscripts' house of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and the special achievement it has made in the fields of heritage and manuscript verification, as its efforts in this context are a cause for pride."
It is noteworthy that this event was inaugurated on the morning of Sunday (21 Sha'ban 1441 AH) corresponding to (April 4, 2021), and it aims to shedding light on the procedures for maintenance and preservation of manuscripts from extinction and deterioration. The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was represented in it by: the Center for Manuscript Imaging and Indexing, the Center for Manuscript Restoration and Maintenance, and the Heritage Revival Center, and a collection of valuable manuscripts and historical documents were displayed.
