Manufacturing metal parts within the project of the grid of the Holy Shrine of Lady. Zaynab (peace be upon her).

The Department for the manufacture of the grids and doors of the holy shrines at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that its staff is still continuing with the work of the shrine grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her).

The work is divided in two, the first is the manufacture of the wooden structure that has reached its final stages, as it is the starting point for installing the parts, and the other is to manufacture the metal parts for the grid, which is proceeding according to the design and implementation plans.

The head of the department, Mr. Nadhem Al-Ghurabi, stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "The work on the metal parts of the grid is distributed according to each part and section, and upon completion of any of them the process of fixing it on the wooden structure is carried out. These works continue until the completion of the manufacture and installation of all pieces, God Almighty willing. "

Adding: “The manufactured metal parts are distinguished by their durability and increased thickness compared to the current grid, in addition to the inscriptions and decorations on each piece. These parts are distinguished by the accuracy and aesthetics of their inscriptions, which are in harmony with the decorations found in the grids of the shrines of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas and his sister Lady Zaynab (peace be upon them both)."

He explained: “The first parts that have been completed are one of the components of the knotworks (Duhna), which are a major transformation in the manufacture of such grids. These works need precision and craftsmanship in implementation because they are made and engraved by hand with floral motifs and patterns. Also the work of making balls and handles that will be fixed on the grid is still going. "

He concluded: "The metal parts are manufactured from gold and silver, in addition to stainless steel and copper, and these metals are mixed in a certain proportion according to each piece and the method of its manufacture and formation."
