The security forces participate in the recited Quran Khatma of the month of Ramadhan.

An elite group of Karbala police and security forces participated in the recited Holy Quran Khatma o the month of Ramadhan, which is held by the Holy Quran Institute affiliated to the Department of Islamic and Human Sciences Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The director of the institute, Sheikh Jawad Al-Nasrawi, explained to Al-Kafeel Network, saying: “The recited Qur’anic Khatma is one of the most important Quranic events and activities that we hold during the holy month, and we used to allocate space for the security forces to participate in it. And this year, as a result of the current health circumstance, and because the Khatma was held in a special place accommodating a limited number of participants within one of the expansion basements of the Holy Shrine, their participation was by reciting one Juz' of the Holy Book of God.

He added: "The aim of this participation is to spread a message of peace to the whole world, to the effect that those who defend Muslims are lovers of the Holy Quran and follow the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, and also so they gain strength from the dear Book of God and fill their hearts with its light, and throw fear and terror in the hearts of their enemies."
