Hundreds of Iftar and Suhoor meals are provided daily by the host restaurant of the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine.

The host restaurant department in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine revealed that it prepares and distributes hundreds of Iftar and Suhoor meals for visitors on a daily basis, and this number doubles on Thursday nights and the blessed nights of al-Qadr. These meals are prepared and distributed by following the health recommendations and directions.

The head of the aforementioned department, Engineer Adel Al-Hamami, said to the Al-Kafeel Network: “The host restaurant continues throughout the year to prepare and provide food for visitors, whether on regular days or on special occasions or events, including the blessed month of Ramadhan, because of the great reward of feeding a fasting believer at Iftar time."

He added: "The distribution process takes place through the host's external outlets or inside the holy courtyard, which contributed to the reduction of overcrowding and the benefit of the largest number of visitors from the blessings of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), taking into account the taste of the visitors and also their numbers, which reach its climax on the nights of the al-Qadr."

Al-Hamami explained: “The preparation to provide these meals is done every day according to a special cooking schedule for each day, taking into account the health conditions, as the food is cooked by a specialized cadre who has experience in dealing with these numbers and their taste, and all this is from the floods of generosity and tender of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."
