A medical team at the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced its success in treating a 30-year-old patient suffering from tissue inflammation in the area in front and side of the pharynx.
The facial and maxillofacial surgeon at the hospital, Dr. Radwan Al-Ta'i, said: “Our medical team succeeded in performing an abscess drainage while removing the dead tissue of a 37-year-old patient, using the laparoscopic technique,” adding that: “The patient suffers from diabetes with inflammation of the tissues in the area in front and side of the pharynx."
Dr. Al-Ta'i explained: "The operation was successful, and the patient recovered 48 hours after."
