After the amputation of all his limbs, Al-Kafeel Hospital provides a child with artificial limbs.

The Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, upon the direction of its Senior Official, His Eminence, Sayed. Ahmad Al-Safi, undertook the treatment and installation of prosthetic limbs for the child Karrar Haider, who was subjected to an electric shock that led to the amputation of his upper and lower limbs.

According to what his father indicated to the al-Kafeel network: “The child Karrar, was subjected to a high electric shock that hit him at home and led to large burns, in addition to damage to his upper and lower limbs, which led to the necessity to amputate them in the Nasiriyah Hospital, after which we sent an appeal to the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, who responded quickly to this case, and Karrar was immediately transferred to Al-Kafeel Hospital to carry out all treatment procedures and to install prosthetic limbs for him free of charge."

For his part, Dr. Alaa Al-Sharifi, a specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Al-Kafeel Hospital, said: “After the case arrived at Al-Kafeel Hospital, a team was formed to treat this human condition of the child Karrar, who was subjected to an electric shock that led to the amputation of his upper and lower limbs to great degrees that made him a bedridden. Thus we started by conducting a comprehensive examination of the condition and determining appropriate treatments after conducting an examination of the affected parts of the body."

He added, "After that, we began the work of the first stages of treatment, which will include preparing for skin grafts and then installing artificial limbs, after which we will do medical rehabilitation and physical therapy so the child get used to the artificial limbs."

The family of the child Karrar extended their sincere thanks to the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's holy shrine, and the staff of al-Kafeel Hospital, which supervises the treatment.
