The start of the Sixth Women's Media Forum.

On Tuesday afternoon, Shawwal 19, 1442 AH, corresponding to June 1, 2021, the activities of the Women’s Media Forum organized for the sixth year were launched by the Riyadh az-Zahraa (peace be upon her) magazine unit in the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) women's library, affiliated to the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The forum was held under the slogan: “We draw inspiration from Lady. Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her))” through the (zoom) platform, with the participation and follow-up of specialists in the women media issue from inside and outside Iraq.

The director of the library, Mrs. Asma Raad, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The forum is one of the activities that the Riyadh az-Zahraa Magazine unit, peace be upon her, continues to hold annually, and as a result of the current situation and the implications of the Corona epidemic, it has been held electronically, in order to ensure its continuity and non-interruption. And praise be to God, it witnessed a good interaction, attendance and follow-up."

She added, "The opening activities, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, included a speech of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by the Acting Head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department in it, Sayed. Aqeel Abdul-Hussein Al-Yasiri, in which he stated:" The specialized women media is a difficult business; In view of the vital and sensitive points it contains in a woman’s life, Riyadh az-Zahraa (peace be upon her) magazine has managed to succeed in this field. Because it specialized in matters related to the family, children and youth, and excelled in clarifying what concerns women."

They explained: "The opening activities included poetic contributions by Mr. Adnan Al-Mousawi and the writer Ali Al-Saffar and displaying a film entitled: (The Message of Islam to Humanity), then the research session was opened with participations of researchers and specialists focused on women's media and how to promote it, taken from Riyadh az-Zahraa, peace be upon her, magazine a model.”
