A medical team at Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital affiliated with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it had succeeded in fixing a complex fracture at the top of the tibia of the left leg of a patient in his thirties.

And the specialist in orthopedics, fractures and joints at the hospital, Dr. Mohamad Saad al-Haris, said: “Our medical team succeeded in fixing a complex fracture in the upper tibia of the left leg, for a 35-year-old patient,” noting: “The operation was carried out using the Ilizarov technique. ".

He added, "The patient was able to stand and walk on his foot immediately after completing the operation, and he made a full recovery shortly after the operation."

Dr. al-Haris pointed out that: "The patient was in a traffic accident a month ago, which caused this fracture, and as a result he suffered from tissue infections in the area of ​​the injury, with pus coming out of it." He explained: "The fracture was returned to its place with Ilizarov, with cleaning tissue and grafting skin."
