The staff of the two-dimensional cartoon film (Ahmad wa al-Qamar [and the Moon]) to teach children and young people to read Surat Al-Fatihah, was honored by the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi.
The film, which was implemented by the University and School Relations Division, in cooperation with the staff of Al-Jood Animation Center and the Readable Media Center at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, is the first film produced at the level of Quranic educational films.
During the honoring ceremony that was held on Friday afternoon (Shawwal 30, 1442 AH), corresponding to (June 11, 2021), His Eminence Sayed. Ahmad Al-Safi gave a speech, in which he stated:
"We are very pleased when we see these Qur’anic efforts progressing with great perseverance. And we ask God Almighty that the intentions are sincere and the work acceptable, especially when we are in the care of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), which gives any work a special taste that is lost elsewhere."
He added: "Concerning this work, which is the movie (Ahmad wa al-Qamar), it was a distinctive work with an innovative and new style, and I listened to it from beginning to end and it was indeed interesting for the children. This method should be used more to teach many duties that a person may neglect ".
Sayed. Al-Safi continued: "There is a need to bring these children in, after the epidemic has subsided, to educate them. The direct meeting affects more, as mistakes are corrected directly and then are not repeated, and the learners may become teachers."
He pointed out: "The best thing the brothers did was to begin with Surat Al-Fatihah, and I think that the positive effects are many in this work, and its benefits were not limited to children only, but even to adults. Some families read the Qur'an quickly and do not pay attention to the correct reading, especially in this blessed surah."
He noted that: "This work was integrated and blessed, and this encourages us to use similar methods in the future to teach other matters. The information is there, but the art lies in the method of communicating the information, and the animation style attracts in a special manner."
At the conclusion of his speech, Sayed. Al-Safi stressed: "There is nothing better than the Qur'an and the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to consolidate moral rules in the minds of children and to spread virtue, morals and lofty meanings."
