Al-Ameed University is at the forefront in scientific and academic activities.

Al-Ameed University, affiliated to the Commission for Education and Higher Education at the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, has risen to the first rank at the level of private universities and colleges in Iraq, within the quarterly evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for private universities and colleges, which included reports of scientific activities and academic events for the months (March, April and May).
Al-Ameed University ranked first, by the decision of the Ministry, based on the importance of the activities of each university after calculating the number of teachers in it, in addition to obtaining the first place as the highest contribution of teachers over a period of three months.
On this occasion, the President of the al-Ameed University; Prof. Dr. Mo'ayyad Al-Ghazali, praised these efforts, and honored the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the university; Mr. Ahmad Sabih Abed Abbood, after completing the quarterly monthly reports for three months, and sending them to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which processed, analyzed and updated the sent data with the rest of the data of private universities in Iraq.
Al-Ghazali explained that: "This achievement indicates the existence of deliberate plans for the university in the process of entering the academic classifications," praising the role of the university's staff in this achievement, which is the result of a great effort made by each of them, calling for more efforts to be exerted to enter other classifications.
