Women's courses on the principles of first aid.

In cooperation with the Al-Kafeel Women’s Religious Schools Division, the Medical Unit of the as-Siddiqa at-Tahirah (peace be upon her) has started to organize a series of courses on the principles of first aid, how to deal with emergency situations and the theoretical principles of first aid, for the unit’s volunteers in Karbala and other governorates, in order to develop emergency skills, to provide a medical service to female visitors, especially in the major Ziyarat.

The unit's official, Ms. Bushra Al-Kinani, told Al-Kafeel Network, that: "These courses are part of a series of courses given according to a special program for the unit's volunteers, from medical specialties (doctors - nurses - pharmacists) and other specializations, and they were presented by a specialized team from the Karbala Health Department and al-Kafeel Hospital, under the supervision of the Medical Affairs Division at the Holy Shrine."

She added, "A special schedule has been set for giving these courses according to each governorate, at four hours a day and lasting for four days, and each course was in theoretical and practical parts, and it was held in the hall of the as-Siddiqa at-Tahirah Center for Women's Activities in addition to the Al-Kafeel Hospital."

Al-Kinani explained that: "The course program includes:

  • Principles of first aid.
  • Injuries, their types and how to deal with them.
  • Basics of first aid.
  • Methods of controlling bleeding and how to deal with it.
  • Rescue and first aid rules.
  • First aid conditions.
  • Paramedic priorities.
  • The most important first aid methods.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • First aid for the unconscious patient.

And she concluded: "We hope that at the end of these courses we will contribute to the formation of empowered women eviction teams that are capable of dealing with any accident - God forbid -".
