The medical unit of the as-Siddiqa at-Tahirah (peace be upon her) of the Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has started organizing a series of training courses for its staffs on the principles of first aid, in cooperation with the al-Kafeel Women's Religious Schools Division.
The unit's official, Mrs. Bushra Al-Kinani, told Al-Kafeel Network: "Among the unit's objectives is to take care of the training aspect, and to prepare the largest possible group of people familiar with the principles of first aid, due to the importance of this matter, whether during the large Ziyarat seasons or others, in order to providing an optimal medical service to its visitors."
She added: "The courses were held in the hall of the as-Siddiqa at-Tahirah Center (peace be upon her) for four hours a day, and for a period of six days, according to a schedule prepared for this purpose. The course was implemented by a specialized cadre from the Karbala Health Department, in addition to the unit's employees and the al-Kafeel hospital. This course will be in two parts, theoretical and practical, including definition of some basic skills in first aid, such as: dealing with cases of bleeding and wounds, burns, fractures, poisoning, loss of consciousness, suffocation, children's injuries, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation."
