A tumor was removed from the face of a patient from Dhi Qar Governorate at the al-Kafeel Hospital.

An Iraqi medical team at Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine managed to remove a tumor from the face of a young woman in her thirties from Dhi Qar governorate without any complications.

The specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the hospital, Dr. Mu'ammar Al-A'raji, said: "The hospital's techniques helped us achieve success with a surgical operation, to remove a tumor in the salivary gland on the right side of the face of a young woman in her thirties from Dhi Qar Governorate."

Al-A'raji added: "The tumor was demonstrated by laboratory tests and completely removed, and initially it is a benign tumor, but we are waiting for the tests to show us its type," stressing: "The patient did not have any complications during the operation, and her health condition is stable afterwards."
