The delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine went to Nasiriyah to extend its condolences to the families of the victims of the fire.

A delegation from the Holy Shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) arrived in Dhi Qar Governorate, to offer condolences to the victims' families of the fire incident that broke out in al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) Teaching Hospital in Nasiriyah, in which dozens of patients that were admitted to the hospital died.

The representative of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine within this delegation; assistant head of the Religious Affairs Department; Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel, explained to the al-Kafeel Network: "We received the sad news of the tragic accident in Dhi Qar Governorate, in the isolation hall inside al-Hussayn Hospital (peace be upon him). The Senior Officials of the two holy shrines sent this delegation, in order to offer the condolences to the families of the victims in Dhi Qar, which is known for its heroic stances and Husseini loyalty."

He added: "Our visit included the families of the victims, as we offered our condolences and conveyed the condolences of the servants of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), in the forefront of whom are the Senior Officials of the two holy shrines, asking God Almighty to bestow His abundant mercy on the victims and give their families the patient to face their loss. We also announce our support for the decisions issued to take the necessary measures and the negligent, who caused this tragic accident, must be held accountable."

Al-Wakeel concluded: "Blessing gifts and some material gifts were given to these families from the two holy shrines, which may contribute to alleviating their grief."

The families of the victims appreciated the visit and asked the visiting delegation to convey their greetings and thanks to the servants of the Two Holy Shrines for this initiative.
