The Department of Maintaining Order at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has begun implementing its security and organizational plan for the Ziyarat of Ashura, amid high commitment to preventive and precautionary measures.

The assistant head of the Maintaining Order Department, Reda Naji, said: "The staff of the Maintaining Order Department began implementing the security and organizational plan for the Ziyarat of the 10th of Muharram, by providing all means of security and comfort for visitors, by facilitating traffic, entry and exit to and from the Old City and the holy shrine, starting with devices checking bags and the security cordon, passing through the central checkpoints, and ending with the doors of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."

With regard to the mourning ritual of Rakdhat Twayreej, Mr. Naji said: "As usual, we prepare an organizational plan for this important mourning ritual every year, from preparing the doors of the Holy Shrine as well as paths inside the holy shrine."

He continued, "We are committed to preventive and health measures in order to preserve the safety of visitors and employees alike, as masks are worn and the sterilization work continues, and we call on the visiting brothers to adhere to the precautionary measures in order to preserve their safety."

Mr. Naji added: "We hope the honorable visitors will cooperate with us and not rush the process of entering and exiting the holy shrine."

He explained, "Dozens of volunteers came from different governorates of the country, to participate in the security and organizational plan, to serve the visitors of the Master of Martyrs and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (may God's peace be upon them)."
