The staff of the Mechanisms Division of Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, completed the work of covering the space of Al-Jumhuriya Street with the shaded (Saran) cover from the top, to reduce the effects of sunlight on the mourners participating in the mourning ritual of the Twayreej run, in addition to providing it with a spray system to cool the air.

The Division’s official, Mr. Hassan Abd al-Hussayn, told Al-Kafeel Network: “Under the guidance of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, and under the direct supervision of the department’s administration, which provided all the materials we needed, such as saran fabric, pumps, spray stations and all their accessories, we covered the space of al-Jumhuriya Street, from Bab Twayreej area to Al Kawthar Commercial Complex."

He added: "This initiative came in order to reduce the impact of the sun's rays on the mourners using this road, which is the main road that mourners will take in these rituals, which will last for more than three hours. The area of ​​what was covered with the saran cover reached 19,200 square meters. In addition, a spray system has been installed with (1900) nozzles, which works to spray water through eight pumps with a capacity of (220) bar, and it works with the cover to contribute to cool air and reducing temperatures.”

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with all its departments, has announced the completion of the necessary preparations for the commemoration of the night of Ashura and the mourning of the run of Twayreej.
