The head of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) reciting Quran.

Sayed al-Muqarram says in his book "al-Maqtal": When the holiest head was erected at the location of Sayarefah and there was the confusion of passers-by and the noise of the dealers, the Master of the Martyrs (peace be upon him) wanted to direct the souls towards him, so that they could hear his eloquent sermons.

He made a loud sound like for clearing his throat, so the people turned to him, and they were amazed, as they did not hear that a severed head can make sounds before the day of al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). Then he (peace be upon him) recited from Surat al-Kahf:13: { Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.} .

And in (Manaqib Aal Abi Taleb) of Ibn Shahr Ashub that when they crucified the noble head on a tree outside Kufa, it was heard from him: {And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.} Al-Shu'ara: 227.

And in “Tadhallum az-Zahra” of al-Qazwini, on the authority of al-Harith Ibn Wakida, he said: I was among those who carried the head of al-Hussayn (upon him be peace), so I heard him recite Surat Al-Kahf, so I doubted myself while I was hearing Aba Abdillah’s tone, so al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) left the recitation and turned to me to address me: O Ibn Wakidah, did you not know that we, the Imams, are alive with our Lord, receiving our provision ?!.

Ibn Wakidah said: I said to myself I steal his head and bury it, so the holy head said: O Ibn Wakidah, you have no way to that, because their shedding of my blood is greater with God Almighty than putting me on the spear, so let them, and they will know {When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged}. Ghafir:71.
