In the name of Imam al-Sajjad (peace be upon him): Distributing thousands of meals to visitors on Thursday night.

The host restaurant of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine used to prepare and distribute meals for visitors, who intend to visit the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on a daily basis. This service reaches its peak on Thursday nights, as the distributed meals are increased because of the large numbers of visitors.

There is also a special program for the special occasions of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), especially the martyrdom anniversaries. And because this year the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth imam, Imam al-Sajjad (may God’s peace be upon him) coincides with a Thursday night, the host restaurant’s staff, under the guidance of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, began preparing and distributing thousands of meals for the visitors, which were distributed through the host’s external outlets.

The head of the host restaurant department, Engineer Adel al-Hamami, confirmed to Al-Kafeel Network that: "We started preparation for this occasion, which came as an extension of the Ziyarat Ashura, from the early hours of the morning, with two types of meals, the first was in the form of fast food (Shawarma), as more than half a ton of meat was prepared, and it was distributed in the form of sandwiches.

As for the second type that was distributed, it was complete nutritional meals in addition to dairy, with the distribution of cold water and juices throughout the day, and we will continue this service pattern for visitors and mourning processions from inside and outside Karbala until the day of the Ziyarat Arba'een."

Al-Hamami concluded: "The distribution was characterized by following health conditions and preventive measures, in addition to ensuring that there was no crowding among visitors, with the opening of outlets for men and others for women."
