Launching the first phase of the widest cleanliness project on the roads of visitors.

The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched an extensive cleaning project on all visitors' roads leading to Karbala, on its three axes (Najaf - Babylon - Baghdad), as cleanliness is of great importance to the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The supervisor of this project, Sheikh Hussein al-Turabi, told Al-Kafeel Network, that: "The project was adopted by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in it, represented by the staff of the Qamar Center for Digital Media, the Institute of the Legacy of the Prophets (peace be upon them) for Hawza studies and Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Electronic University, which took the responsibility of the management of the field campaigns for education and the vital contribution to the activation of the project on the visitors’ path.”

And he indicated that: "The project, for which a systematic and organized work plan has been drawn up, will be within several stages. The first stage was the organization of an extensive educational awareness campaign by publishing 15.000 posters and brochures, which were printed in attractive designs and in different languages. In addition to the cyberspace through the preparation of programs and visual advertisements, all of which urge attention to the aspect of cleanliness, and urge the visitor to increase his interest in this aspect.”

Al-Turabi explained that: "The campaign also included distributing cleaning materials to processions and serving visitors, such as brooms, wipers, waste containers and garbage bags, in addition to conducting awareness campaigns for procession owners."

Noting that: "An extensive media campaign was organized that included the production of many (short videos, public publications, etc.), and working to market them through the electronic space and its communication platforms, in an acceptable artistic manner that contributes to achieving the desired goals of this project."

Al-Turabi concluded: "The next phases of the project will be when the visitors arrive to the roads leading to the holy city of Karbala, where the project will take the field orientation according to what was planned for it."
