The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine establishes a water desalination plant with a capacity of 72 thousand liters per day.

The staff of the Water Division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine Projects Department has completed the installation of an integrated water desalination plant (RO station), to supply the (Abu Zrannet) area and the surrounding neighborhoods with potable water, with a production capacity of (72) thousand liters per day. This plant was established in the Sheikh Kulayni service complex affiliated to the Holy Shrine.
The station is one of the many stations set up by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine inside and outside the holy province of Karbala, benefiting the residents of many areas that suffer from water shortages.
Tthe official of the aforementioned division, Engineer Bassam al-Hashemi stated to al-Kafeel Network: "The Holy Shrine is keen to adopt service initiatives by establishing a series of projects, including 23 desalination plants (RO) inside and outside Karbala, including this station, which will provide its services to a large number of citizens in this region and its surrounding areas, in addition to the Husseini processions and visitors."
He stressed that: "The station has high operational efficiency, especially its filters and pumps. It was also provided with large-capacity tanks, to store the water it produces on the one hand, and on the other hand to supply it with raw water."
In the same context, the complex’s official, Sayed. Ali Mahdi al-Safi, said: “The installation and operation of the station has been completed, as a cadre has been assigned to supervise its work and maintenance, to ensure the continuity of its production in a manner that meets the needs of citizens, who were suffering from a scarcity of drinking water. And now they are coveying their thanks to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for this initiative and humanitarian service."
