The Hussayni mourning processions renew their pledge of loyalty on the Arba’een.

The immortal Arba'een season witnesses the establishment of many events and activities, and the Hussayni mourning processions are one of the most important of these ceremonies, as the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) witnessed this Friday morning (16 Safar 1443 AH corresponding to September 24, 2021) the start of the Zinjeel mourning processions.
The processions flocked one after the other in the form of regular groups of condolences, and their starting point was from the place designated for them in the Qibla Street of the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through his holy courtyard, where they recited elegies that show the extent of the great pain in their hearts on the occasion of this great anniversary of the Arba'een of the master of the youth of Paradise; Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
After that, they headed to the courtyard of his brother, the hero of at-taff; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), crossing the square between the Two Holy Shrines with their lamentations, to arrive at the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to chant sad slogans and elegies in grief, remembrance and consolation for the Prophet and his family (Allah's prayers be upon them).
The head of the Hussayni Rites and Processions Department of the two holy shrines, Haj Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The entry of these processions, which represent most of Iraq’s governorates, will last for two days, and it will be in accordance with a plan that has been drawn up for the movement of their path, ensuring their smooth and easy movement, without interceding with the movement of visitors, through paths developed for this purpose.
