The al-Abbas's (p) shrine honors a number of volunteers of the medical evacuation teams who participated in securing the Ziyarat Arba’een.

The Medical Affairs Division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honored a group of young volunteers within the Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) organization from the city of Basra, who were participated in the medical plan of the Holy Shrine during the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The head of the Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Osama Abdel Hassan, said: "Today, at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, we extend our thanks and appreciation for these blessed efforts made by the volunteers, who came as paramedics within the medical evacuation teams inside the Holy Shrine, as part of the medical plan of the al-Abbas's (p) shrine during the Ziyarat Arba'een."

Abdul Hassan added: "We have put forward a number of projects with the youth of the Imam al-Hassan Organization (peace be upon him), in order to increase the training and development capabilities of these heroes, in order to provide better services during the upcoming Ziyarats."

For his part, the official of the Imam al-Hassan Foundation (peace be upon him), Mr Haidar al-'Ameri, confirmed that: “The Foundation, in cooperation with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, has provided the best medical services to the honorable visitors during the Ziyarat Arba'een," indicating that: “The Foundation started providing its services from the eighth of Safar until the end of the Ziyarat,” praising the “great efforts made by the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine to provide them with this opportunity.”

Mr Mohamad al-Karkoushi, one of the volunteers, added that: "The Imam al-Hassan Organization (peace be upon him) had a great role, in cooperation with the cadres of the Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in aiding various cases and assisting other medical evacuation teams inside the holy sanctuary."
