The pedometer service in the "Haqeebat al-Mo'min" App, has counted more than two billion steps.

The Center for the "Haqeebat al-Mo'min", affiliated with the Media Department of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, announced that (2.281.500.000) steps were recorded by the pedometer service launched by the App during the Ziyarat Arba'een, in the period of eight days from the 12th to 20th Safar, performed by (394,000) users.
The director of the center, Mr. Ali al-Jayashi, told Al-Kafeel Network, "This service enabled the visitor to calculate the number of his steps and the time he used, with the ability to gift a part of these steps to anyone who wishes so, in addition to the service of performing the steps on his behalf, which was characterized by accuracy and ease of use. ".
He added: "The App team launched a package of service updates that coincided with the Ziyarat Arba'een, to serve the visitors and contribute to meeting part of their needs, during their journey to visit Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), including this service, which is the only one with these specifications."
Al-Jayashi continued: "These updates are part of the plan for this application, to always promote it and make it at the forefront of similar applications. And for the special character of Ziyarat Arba'een and in order to contribute to providing a service to the visitor, we started working on these updates long ago, to provide a number of services via smartphones."
And he indicated that: "In addition to the pedometer, the updates of the application, which were designed and programmed according to the latest technologies, are:
- Visitor's Guide: It is an integrated guide to the province of Karbala, using (Google Maps) for the addresses and names of places that the visitor needs and goes to during his visit to Karbala, and it achieved 192 queries.
- Karbala map: on which the main and secondary roads, shrines, hospitals and other places needed by the visitor are installed. The number of downloads of the map reached 257 thousand."
