Washing and furnishing the sanctuary and the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon him.

Late in the evening on Sunday, a number of servants of the holy shrine of Aba al Fadl al-Abbas - peace be upon him - conducted an extensive campaign to wash the holy courtyard and sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him and then furnishing them with carpets after the end of the Ziyarat Arba'een.
All the staff of the Holy Sanctuary Care Division and the Holy Courtyard Department, in addition to staff from the Department of Service Affairs and Sayed servants, were honored to carry out these works, in the presence of the member of the board of directors of the al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Mustafa Dea' al-Deen and some of the heads of its departments.
The Sanctuary's Care Division official; Haj Nizar Ghani Khalil stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: "After the end of Ziyarat Arba'een, we performed the Ziyarat of the Master to ask the permission to start these works. And we were honored to conduct the washing, perfuming and furnishing the holy sanctuary of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the holy courtyard, as we are used to perform these works in such days.”
He added: "The works inside the holy sanctuary included removing the old carpet then cleaning the holy grid and areas surrounding it using special materials to clean and disinfect all walls and floor in order to contribute to maintain its luster. The works were concluded with perfuming and re-furnishing it with carpets, according to the measurements that we had previously taken and according to the location of each carpet.”
Meanwhile, Deputy head of the Holy Courtyard's Care Department; Mr. Zayn al-'Abideen Adnan added: "We removed all carpets used in the holy courtyard during the Ziyarat Arba'een then packed it and sent it to the washing plant of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, then we started with the cleaning work conducted according to each section of the holy courtyard. Upon completion, the new carpet set was furnished and the Ziyarat and supplications books were put back in place."
