A photographer from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine wins the first prize in an international photography competition.

The photographer of Al-Kafeel Center for Artistic Production, affiliated with the Media Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Azhar Hamid al-Asadi, won the first place in the Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) photo competition in its eighth edition, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the slogan: (Ashura is mercy and peace) and in which 110 photographers from many countries participated with 385 photos.

Al-Asadi told Al-Kafeel Network: "The photographers of the Al-Kafeel Center for Artistic Production possess skills and experiences that make their photography works eligible to participate in any local or international competition. And the photographers in each participation were able to achieve advanced ranks and positions, including this competition in which I won the first prize face to competition of international photographers".

He added: "The competition aims to highlight the aspects of reviving the Ashura season for this year (1443 AH), in light of the exceptional circumstances that the world is experiencing for the second year in a row, as a result of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic and the observance of social distancing in holding events, with an artistic vision through the lenses of photographers, depending on the strength and depth of the picture, as well as the effort expended in capturing it in addition to the idea, purpose and message."

He added: "The picture that I called (innocence in the love for al-Hussayn, peace be upon him) was a snapshot of a child participating with his family in an Ashura mourning procession."
