Implantation of mandibular fractures in an 18-year-old patient.

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it has succeeded in fixing fractures in the lower jaw bones for an 18-year-old patient.
The specialist in maxillofacial surgery at the hospital, Dr. Radwan al-Taei, said: "The patient was suffering from a direct blow to the bones of the face, and after taking the x-rays, we found that there were two fractures in the lower jaw," adding: "We performed a direct surgical intervention for the patient and fixed the fractures with metal plates, through a special device that is used for such cases, without resorting to making an opening outside the mouth, and it is a modern method called small openings inside the mouth, to avoid causing any disfiguring effects.”
Al-Taie confirmed that: "The presence of modern technologies in the Al-Kafeel Hospital has greatly contributed to the success of such a qualitative operation."
