Treatment of an opening between the ventricles of a child's heart at Al-Kafeel Hospital.

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine succeeded in treating an interventricular opening in the heart of a two-year-old child, while the team confirmed that the medical techniques used in the operation were highly accurate.
The pediatric cardiac surgeon at the hospital, Dr. Ahmed Abboudi, said: "The child was suffering from an opening between the ventricles, which is a deformity that may lead to the aortic valve not working well in the future," adding: "After a thorough study of the case, we performed the appropriate surgical intervention for the child. The operation went smoothly and was successful without any complications.”
He continued, "The modern medical technologies available at Al-Kafeel Hospital in addition to the presence of professionally qualified operating theaters, have greatly contributed to the success of this kind of qualitative operations."
