Advanced works of the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her).

The work on the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), which was carried out by the staff of the department of manufacturing grids and doors of holy shrines at the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, has reached advanced stages, as it is progressing in line with the work plan developed for it.

The head of the mentioned department, Mr. Nadhem al-Ghurabi, stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: "The work is going in two phases. The first is the manufacture of wooden parts in addition to the inscriptions and interior decorations. The second is the manufacture of the metal parts of the grid, which manufacture is going according to what was planned in design and implementation.”

And he indicated that: "Among the most important metal parts that have been completed, which are nearing completion and are witnessing a continuity of work, are:

- The Qur'anic inscription, which is at the top the golden decorative eaves of the grid, is a metal band made of copper on which the entire Surah al-Insan is written by calligrapher professor Dr. Rawdhan Bahia using the complex thuluth script. The calligraphy will be colored with pure gold and its base with blue enamel.

- The decorative (frieze), which is located between the upper Qur’anic and poetic bands, and consists of 14 pieces in the shape of the letter (S), engraved by hand with vegetal inscriptions inspired by the shrine's grid of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and the other from the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (may God’s peace be upon her), and all its works have been completed except for gold plating.

- The inscription band on which sections of the special Ziyarat of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) were written, and it has also been completed, except for gold plating.

- The written poetic band on which verses were written from a poem by the poet Ali al-Saffar al-Karbalai, and this band has also been completed except for the gold plating.

Al-Ghurabi continued: "The work on the knotworks (Duhna), which are a major transformation in the manufacture of such grid, continues with precision and craftsmanship in implementation, because they are made and engraved manually with floral ornaments and inscriptions."

He concluded: "In addition to what was mentioned, there are other parts that have witnessed progress in the work, including what has been accomplished such as the corner, middle and lower columns, inscriptions and decorations that surround the grid. The department’s technicians and craftsmen will spare no effort to complete this project, which will be added to the previous projects that were made in this factory, with love and loyalty to the family of the Prophet (may God’s prayers and peace be upon them).” .
