The delegation of the two holy shrines arrives in Muqdadiya and attends the funeral of the martyrs of the village of al-Rashad.

Today, Friday (22 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1443 AH) corresponding to (October 29, 2021), a delegation from the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) attended the funeral of the martyrs of the village of al-Rashad in Muqdadiya, who were killed in a brutal massacre perpetrated by the terrorist gangs of ISIS resulting 15 martyrs and 17 wounded.

The delegation included a number of officials and staffs of the Holy Shrines, who conveyed the condolences of the supreme religious authority and the senior officials, and the servants of the two holy shrines to the families of the martyrs and victims.

The head of the delegation of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine; Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel, stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: "“Based on the directives of the senior officials of the two holy shrines, we came today to console the families of the martyrs who were killed without any guilt at the hands of the criminal gangs, and we have conveyed our sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, asking God Almighty to bless their souls in Paradise, and to inspire their families patience and solace, and to grant their wounded a speedy recovery.”

He added: "Our presence next to these families is part of the support plan to communicate between the two holy shrines and the Iraqi society, including this province, which suffered from the scourge of terrorist gangs.”

It is noteworthy that the village of Al-Rashad, southwest of Muqdadiya, was subjected to a brutal massacre last Tuesday evening, committed by criminal gangs of ISIS, which resulted in 15 martyrs and 17 wounded, all of them from the Bani Tamim tribe.
