Participation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in an international forum on the contributions of libraries and their role in sustainable development

The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has taken many deliberate steps to achieve the goals of sustainable development, in many parts of its work, and achieved a number of goals that it was able to translate on the ground. These steps were the focus of the attention of many parties inside and outside Iraq, in order to publicize them.
The Center for Cataloging and Information Systems of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's Library and House of Manuscripts participated in a number of conferences, forums, and symposia, including its participation in the first virtual international forum organized by the University of Batna Hajj Lakhdar/Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences/Department of Information and Communication Sciences in Algeria.
The forum was about the contributions of libraries and information institutions in the transition towards green investment and sustainable development: institutions, roles and innovative services. The Director of the Center, Mr. Hassanein al-Mousawi, in partnership with Prof. Azhar Zayer Jassem from al-Mustansiriya University, participated in a research entitled: (The Role of the Center for Cataloging and Information Systems in Enhancing the Voice of the Iraqi Library Community, through the IFLA Library Maps of the World website). The focus of the forum included examples of the experiences of libraries and information institutions in achieving better sustainability for society.
This participation achieved a welcome and positive responses, and there were interventions and inquiries that the researcher clarified to the attendees.
