The block, muqarnas and concrete factory is a production line that supports the construction process at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The urban projects established by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine were distinguished by their reliance on local industry, especially those produced by its own factories, the most important of which are the factory of blocks, muqarnas and concrete pieces.

This production line has achieved clear results on various levels, especially the aspect related to providing a product of high quality in accordance with the approved international standards.

Head of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Engineer Dea' al-Sa'egh, stated: "Within the plans adopted by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in the completion of its urban projects within the Karbala governorate and other Iraqi governorates, is to create solid elements through which it can move forward to complete various construction projects with high accuracy and quality."

He added, "After the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine contributed greatly to the campaign to support the national product on different levels, especially with regard to the construction of urban buildings. It moved forward with its plan to include the Muqarnas Block and Concrete Factory, which today plays a prominent and pivotal role in various projects.”

Al-Sa'egh explained, "This success comes as a result of many factors, foremost of which is the workers in this factory, as well as the great support of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for such projects."

The head of the engineering projects department continued, "The production stages in the factory are proceeding in various steps according to the approved international specifications, and this led to the provision of a product with high efficiency and clear quality, as the block produced by the factory is the most popular by the citizen and the private and government sectors after it has proven its quality and strength.”

"The rest of the products, such as Muqarnas, kerbstones, and others are in great demand, and this is due to the scientific methods adopted in the production lines, which are subject to laboratory tests for the materials used in manufacturing the products," he said.
