A mourning gathering for the servants of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her)

The annual mourning council was held in the ceremonial hall of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), according to the second narration.

The three-day council is held in the morning and begins with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then a religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Mohammad al-Krayti from the Religious Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and concludes with a mourning elegy.

The lecture given by Sheikh al-Krayti deals with many axes, where he sheds light on the aspects of her honorable life, her lofty principles, great stances and sound recommendations, and an explanation of the great benefits and positive effects if they are applied effectively and seriously by all members of society, and urging them to follow the rich biography and school of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her).

He also showed the position and status of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), to the extent that her father, the Noble Messenger (Allah's prayers be upon him and his family), said about her: (Her anger is is the manifestation of the anger of Allah), in addition to other important topics and themes quoted from her blessed biography.

The lecturer concludes the council with an elegy that expresses the horror of this tragedy and the extent of its sad impact on the hearts of believer, and all those who attended shed tears out of grief and oppression over the most painful calamities after the martyrdom of the Messenger of God (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).

It is reported that the lovers and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) all over the world recall the sad anniversary of the martyrdom of the beloved daughter of the Holy Messenger (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household); Lady Fatima az-Zahra (may God’s peace be upon her), and that there are multiple narrations about the date of her martyrdom and the location of her grave (peace be upon her), and this indicates the oppression and injustice to which she was subjected. She was eighteen years old at the time of her martyrdom, according to most famous narrations.
