A Fatimi mourning procession roams the streets of the city of al-Qubba in Mosul

On Saturday the thirteenth of Jumada al-Ula, a Fatimi mourning procession was organized by the Guidance and Support Division of the Religious Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, to commemorate the tragedy of Lady az-Zahra's martyrdom (peace be upon her) with the participation of the people of the city from their various components and religious and ethnic sects, in addition to the people of the adjacent cities and villages.
The official of the division, Sheikh Haider al-'Aredhi, told Al-Kafeel Network, “Our presence and attendance today is to share the sorrows of the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in these areas, as they recall the martyrdom of the beloved daughter of the Noble Messenger Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household); Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and this procession is concluding mourning activities that lasted for more than four days."
He added, "The procession was led by the notables of the regions and representatives of their local and security governments, and the banners and slogans of condolence were raised, renewing the pledge of allegiance by steadfastness on this approach and following in the footsteps of Lady Fatima, her father, husband and sons (Allah's prayers be upon them). The start of the processions was from the Maqam of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the city up to the exhibition that was held to commemorate this sad anniversary by our division."
Al-Aredhi affirmed that "All people of the city went out to walk in this procession along large numbers of people from the neighboring areas, amid the groans, tears and heartbreaks of the participants and the people."
He concluded, "At the service level, a number of service processions were set up in the region, and the Division supported them to provide services to the participants in this condolence procession."
The people of these areas expressed their great thanks and gratitude to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, for this generous gesture and this blessed event, which they considered the largest of its kind in the province of Mosul to commemorate this anniversary.
