The Electricity Division upgrades the lighting of Al-‘Alqami Street with an advanced lighting system

The staff of the Electricity Division of the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has completed the modernization of the lighting system for Al-'Alqami Street, one of the important streets leading to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which contributes to providing sufficient lighting to cover this area and to replace the previous one.
The official of the aforementioned division, Engineer Mohammad Mustafa al-Taweel, said, "The staff of our division carry out many works according to a special work plan developed according to need and priority, in addition to emergency works, including those inside or outside the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, such as the roads leading to it, which we constantly update, maintain and supply with the latest lighting systems, including this vital and important street.”
He added, "The lighting of this street was previously insufficient and did not cover a large area, in addition to its antiquity and high consumption of electrical energy. The existing columns, after being maintained, were supplied with (200 watts) nine projectors in each column. These lamps are of economical types (LED) that consume less electrical energy, are harmless to the eye, and are environmentally friendly, in addition to their aesthetic appearance and high illumination.”
