Al-Kafeel Apiaries Group participates in the activities of the honey festival with a bouquet of its various products

Al-Kafeel Apiaries Group, affiliated to the Agricultural Affairs Department of Al-Kafeel General Investment Company (one of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine companies), participated in the activities of the fifteenth edition of the honey festival organized by the Iraqi Beekeepers Association.

The exhibition was opened on Monday in the capital, Baghdad, and will last for three days with the aim of supporting, promoting and introducing the local product, in addition to opening new marketing opportunities for producers with the participation of a large number of beekeepers, companies and institutions working in this sector.

The group’s official, Engineer Hassanein Mohammad Bayn, told Al-Kafeel Network: “Our participation in this festival came based on the invitation addressed to us by the aforementioned association, and this is the second year in a row that we participate in this specialized festival, where samples of natural honey were shown according to the latest technologies used in this field: honey of Sidr, eucalyptus, citrus fruits, various flowers, and others.”

He added: "Participation in the festival's activities is part of a series of participations that preceded it, as it was a good opportunity to see the participants' products and exchange views and opinions with the Iraqi beekeepers participating in the festival and work to advance this important sector, which is one of the vital sectors in the country, as well as Introducing festival-goers and specialists to our products, mechanisms and sources."

Engineer Hassanein noted: "The pavilion was the focus of the festival's goers and visitors, as it witnessed the visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammad Karim al-Khafaji, who stressed the importance of beekeeping projects, honey production, and holding exhibitions that express the prosperity and sustainability of this profession.

He also witnessed the visit of Mr. Fathi al-Behairi, President of the Arab Beekeepers Union, Mr. Iyad Da'boul, President of the Syria Branch of the Arab Beekeepers Union, and Mr. Walid Naqqara, President of the National University of Beekeepers in Tunisia, who praised the group's experience in producing honey."

It is noteworthy that the participation comes within the directions of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in order to contribute to supporting the local product by presenting and introducing its products, on the one hand, and on the other hand, participation is one of the most important means of communication with the external environment, and to see the development reached by their peers in this field.
